| Dune | Frank Herbert is to me, one of the greatest writters that have ever existed. The man is pure genius. The way he crafts a world around charectors that you not only believe in, but more importantly sympathize with. The Dune seires captivates the reader with its intriguing look at the human condition and the role a messiah plays in that. A must read for anyone who wants to learn the true nature of politics and it's sister, religion. |
| Star Trek | Who can escape this truly cultural phenomenon? Gene Rodenbarry was obviously way ahead of his time with concepts of personal communicators, computers that could fit into the palm of your hand, and hopefully, how mankind would begin to reach for their personal best. Wither your a fan of the old series, the Next Generation, Deep Space 9, or Voyager, you know that these shows impact the social unconciousness in ways that we can't even imagine. |
| Buddhism | Often misunderstood as a religion, Buddhism is more about the belief in oneself then the belief in a personal diety. Buddhism is based on the 4 noble truths, #1.In life there is suffering, #2. Desire causes suffering, #3. The way to stop suffering is to stop desire, #4. You can stop desire by being mindfull. When put into practice the ideals of Buddhism can lead to a broder understanding of oneself and others. As well as lead to a personal sense of peace in what can be a distracting world. |
| Comics | A passion of mine for 15 years comic books are a way for me to escape the real world for a short time and dwell within a world of vibrant color, heros, and amazeing adventures. Fanatical about my comics I keep them all in plastic slips with card board backings in card board boxes. The titeles I read are Aquaman, Incredible Hulk, Supergirl, Flash, Impulse, Justice League, all of the X-books, Gen-13, and a few straglers here and there. |

| Hemp | Hemp could revolutionize the farming industry.Clothes made from hemp last longer then those made from cotton and is cheaper to produce, paper made from hemp would cut down on deforestation, a cheap and clean burning fuel can be made from it as well. There are litteraly hundreds of reasons hemp should be made legal to grow here in the United States. So why isn't it ? Ask your local politician that. |
