  • Summary - Making Money advertising banners and other programs.

  • Can you really make money with various sponsor, click through, email, or other such programs? The answer: Who knows. I have heard some of my friends telling me that they created this adult web site and how they were going to make a fortune on it. I usually take a look at it and more often than not its not worth my time. The pages take forever to load, they have way too many banners on the page, and there is nothing special about the web site that attracts my attention. There is money to be made if you spend a little time and put some effort into it.

For starters check out other adult web sites. Make a note of what you like about it and what you dislike about it. Sign up for several click through, sponsors, and any other program that looks good too you. Try finding new programs. If a visitor has seen a particular banner a thousand times on the net chances are that he or she is not going to click on yours. If you sign up for a program make sure you read there terms/rules and regulations and understand them. If you do not follow there rules you could be deleted from there program without warning. Many times they wont even pay you what you have coming.

When designing a web page keep it simple. Again nobody likes to wait 60 seconds for your page to load. Most likely they would leave before your page even finishes loading. Place 15 to 30 thumbnails on a page. A banner on top and a banner on the bottom of the page, possibly a combination of banners and badges or buttons. Many free web page providers tend to place banners on top and bottom of your pages. If they do this you don't want too many additional banners to clutter things up. Make sure you have more than 1 banner advertising program. If you only have one or two and the visitor clicks them it leaves nothing else for them. If you have several throughout your web site chances are good that one of them might attract there attention. If a person clicks on it once they probably wont click it twice. Rotate banners to different pages and positions regularly.

How about hosting, free or pay? Good qestion. Certainly pay hosting portrays a more professional appearance, but it's all up to you and what kind of a budget you have. As mentioned earlier many free hosts place banners or consoles on the top and bottom of your pages. Pay hosting allows you to run your own and do whatever you wish. I would recommend starting with a free host, submit it to search engines, link pages, and your friends. Just see how things go. If you want to make money you have to be devoted to it. You can't just slap up a web site, let it sit and wait for the checks to start rolling it. It wont happen. If you are getting some hits/clicks try making more pages with other free hosts. If you were making a few dollars off one site what if you had 10. 20, or even 30 other sites. I know it seems very time consuming, but they don't have to be much too them. Just a few good images with your ads on them. Set your goals to where they can be reached. Tell yourself I would really like to make $10 off this web site. Then maybe $50. If you could make $10 to $50 a month off one site imagine if you had many more. If you acomplish this then I might think about going with pay hosting. Pay hosting will cost you some of your profits, but it looks better and it allows you to place more money making ads on your page. A pay host places no consoles or banners on your pages so it opens up more room for your own. Just remember that they cost on average from $10 to $25 per month for 20 to 25 Mb's of space, plus additional charges if you go over the specified bandwidth. You also need to register a domain name(www.yourname.com). Which can cost $60 to $100 to reserve that name for you for 2 years. Then there is a fee each additional year to keep it yours. Another option may be to go with Namesecure. You must register a domain name, but you can use a free host and when someone types in yourname.com it goes to your free site and the domain name you registered stays in the browsers address bar. They charge something like $25 a year for this service. By doing this you are using a free host, which eliminates the monthly hosting fee. Check out there unique service.
