Earthshock and Time-Flight: A Sadwanker's View Once again doing a little catching up on this. I've also finished watching Arc of Infinity, but I'll save that for a seperate post. Earthshock: Not a whole lot of significance here. Professor Kyle was kind of cute once she got cleaned up; too bad she had to die. Oddly enough, she seems to be exactly the same size as Tegan, as Tegan wears Kyle's uniform for a lot of the story (while she kicks Cyber-ass. You go girl!). On a non-wank note, I surprisingly found myself a little saddened by Adric's death, especially in what turns out to be the Doctor's last moments with Adric. Time-Flight: In the scene where the Doctor re-orients the TARDIS control room, he ends up flat on his back as Tegan walks in, and damn near gets to look right up her skirt! Lucky bastard! This means he could answer my question as to whether Tegan's wearing regular pantyhose or (my favourite possibility) if those are stockings. I find myself noticing moments between Nyssa and Tegan more and more. There seems a lot of genuine affection between the two, this time where Tegan insists on staying behind to watch over Nyssa. It's almost bordering on subtext (a la Xena: Warrior Princess where Xena and her sidekick Gabrielle *might* be lovers). Another nice moment is when the Captain of the second Concorde snaps one of his crew out of the Master's trance by saying "Remem ber Tegan?" The crewman's eyes light up as he repeats "Tegan?" and a little smile appears on his face. You can almost hear him thinking "Tegan? Oh, yeah, I remember her! Rrrrrowwwl!" :-) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Doug A Scott Second-in-Command, Joxer Shields Member of the Gabrielle & Joxer Romantics Society Member of Joxer Enthusiasts Supporting Sapphic Subtext (JESSS) Visit the Doctor Who Chronology at: http://www3.islandnet.com/~dascott/intro.htm ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, or to change your subscription to digest, go to the ONElist web site, at http://www.onelist.com and select the User Center link from the menu bar on the left.
