From: Doug A. Scott To: Sandwank mailing list Subject: [sadwank] Frontios/Resurrection of the Daleks: A Sadwanker's View Date: Thursday, March 18, 1999 21:31 From: "Doug A. Scott" I'm combining these two "Views" as Tegan wears exactly the same outfit in both and I don't feel like describing it twice :-) *sigh* My favourite Tegan oufit. Sleeveless top, short, tight leather skirt, white stockings and black pumps... *sigh* God, she looks good in this! I can't actually list every instance where she looks especially sexy in these two stories because that would be most of them. Everytime she bends over... everytime she crouches... heck, everytime she *walks*! Some scenes of note in the makeshift infirmary in "Frontios." One of the sick colonists grabs Tegan's leg and gets to hold on for quite a few seconds. And Tegan plays nursemaid[1] to Plantagenet. When the Doctor goes off to explore the caves, Plantagenet insists Tegan stay behind as a hostage to ensure the Doctor's good behaviour. Yeah, right, that's why he wants Tegan to stick around; anyone actually buy this? In "Resurrection," this nurse/patient role is reversed as Tegan is wounded in a Dalek attack and is looked after by the female scientist[2] from the bomb squad (didn't get her name). Now, despite her frumpy army look, I found the scientists to be more attractive than Doctor Styles, played by Rula Lenska[3]. Now I know Rula Lenska was a "super-model" type before they invented the term, but she really doesn't do much for me (at least, not here). Maybe it's that horrible headband. Unfortunately, we part ways with Tegan at the close of "Resurrection." "Brave heart, Tegan." On the other hand, coming next, "Planet of Fire," introducing Perpugilliam "Peri" Brown and her famous... assets :-) [1] There's an image! Tegan dressed in a nurse's uniform! Drool... [2] There's another image! Tegan being tended to by a nurse! Sponge bath! Drool... [3] Love saying that name. Rooooooola Lenska!
