From: Doug A. Scott To: Sandwank mailing list Subject: [sadwank] Logopolis: A Sadwanker's View Date: Tuesday, December 29, 1998 21:32 From: "Doug A. Scott" With this story, I finally conclude the Tom Baker era. It did go on, didn't it? :-) Nyssa returns, still dressed in her brown, big-shouldered dress from Traken. I summed up my thoughts on Nyssa in my last "View," so I'll move on. Ah, Tegan Jovanka. Yum! Easily the best legs in the series[1]. And of course, being an air hostess conjures up any number of fantasies about her. The cute little hat, the uniform, the seamed stockings (which The Discontinuity Guide describes under "Fashion Victims" as, and I quote, "Bleagh!" What is *with* people?) Over the next few stories, I'm going to try to watch for any posibilities of a growing relationship between Tegan and Nyssa. I expect there'll be plently of opportunities for one to... ahem, "comfort" the other. As a bonus, we get fleeting images of all of Baker's companions as he regenerates. So, we get to see Sarah, Leela and both Romanas one last time. *Sigh* Next time, a slight break from the Doctor for... K-9 and Company. [1] In reading the Archive for this story in Doctor Who Magazine, I discovered that Janet Fielding was worried about wearing too short a skirt because she was once told that she had unattractive legs! What Phillistine could have said this?! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Doug A Scott Second-in-Command, Joxer Shields Member of the Gabrielle & Joxer Romantics Society Member of Joxer Enthusiasts Supporting Sapphic Subtext (JESSS) Visit the Doctor Who Chronology at: http://www.islandnet.com/~dascott/intro.htm ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this mailing list, or to change your subscription to digest, go to the ONElist web site, at http://www.onelist.com and select the User Center link from the menu bar on the left.
