Two syllables. A multitude of wanks. There's something inordinately sexy about the name itself. Zoe. Zo-ee. And to all SADWANKERS everywhere mere mention of the name in any context will surely prompt our minds to form a picture of the dark-haired stunner who appeared on the show with the 2nd Dr. And what sort of picture will that be? Clearly for many SADWANKERS it is of Zoe in THE MIND ROBBER. Sexy tight suit- sparkly, breasts and bottom prominent and clearly defined, maybe stretched across the TARDIS console... But that was never it for me. For in the early-mid 80's I hadn't seen THE MIND ROBBER, only a few uninspiring pics in DWM or whatever. No, to me it was, and always will be THE KROTONS. Thank 'The 5 Faces...' repeat season for that. I didn't have a video of it when the repeats originally went out but I do remember watching mesmerised as this girl who I guess I'd always thought was rather pretty but no patch on Tegan wore the shortest skirt I'd ever seen on DW (or anything else for that matter). A couple of years later I got hold through a friend in Leicester of a 2nd generation copy of the story. It's an awful story. But I don't think I've ever concerned myself with its deficiencies of plot or characterisation. All I've ever watched it for is Zoe. In terms of how DW helped define my sexual tastes, this is it. Zoe is petite, pale-skinned, dark-haired. And she wears a short skirt. And it's black. Give me those features in any woman and I'll get turned on. That combination of details to me is perfection. I don't care what they look like otherwise, they'll be a Zoe. But the great thing about Zoe is that she is so attractive. She has an innocence in her beauty that again is a turn-on. I would suggest that in objective terms she is easily one of the most attractive of all the DW girls. Not THE most attractive, maybe, but... she's certainly the sexiest. And the one that appeals the most to me. The shot in the Krotons where she's struggling down a bank (when the crew first land) for me sets the tone for the whole story. It's already a full-on wank-tastic sequence. Then of course there are so many other opportunities for wanking throughout the entire story. To list them all is not my intention, but the shots just outside the Gonds' dwelling place (where those phallic tubes keep shooting (sic) out) where she is crouching down, and the shots where she is again kneeling or crouching with the Dr much later in the story are to me the hottest shots in the whole of Who-dom. I've already attempted in a previous posting to explain why Zoe in THE KROTONS is quite the phenomenon that she is. So forgive me if you've read some of this before. It's obviously her legs. It's fair to say that not only are they faultlessly shaped, but that the show's director was obviously a gut with both taste and the good sense to preserve them in all their glory for posterity. You can imagine him up in the control box, can't you, yelling down to the camera operator- "Down a bit, Dave, down a bit! There's guys twenty years from now gonna be wanking themselves silly to this girl! Let's give them what they want!" So what else makes Zoe's legs quite so special? Well, as previously noted it's their palesness, and the fact that the story's B+W enhances this. And the darkness of her costume contrasts with them to exaggerate this too. I know that to some people a well-tanned body is what they crave. Sorry guys, that does very little for me. I like girls pale, and when they're white, as Zoe is at times here, I'm a happy wanker. I must confess I haven't actually seen THE KROTONS for a little while now, but as I recall some of its images mentally I feel a familiar stirring down below and I wouldn't be surprised if I haven't viewed (and wanked to) this story again before the weekend is out. If so I shall surely post an update. But of course there's more to Zoe than one story. She also displays her legs quite nicely in DOMINATORS and INVASION, but since I didn't have access to either of these while an adolescent I don't really feel they're relevant to this posting. What I did manage to get my hands on though (sorry, more innuendo) was the surviving episode of THE SPACE PIRATES. Now there's a still of Zoe from this which shows very distinctly the outline of her white hotpant covered bottom and the most tantalising glimpse of meaty thigh. This was a regular wank-source before some kindly DW fan provided me with an nth generation copy of the SP episode. And wasn't I pleased. More Zoe, more thighs- lying on the floor, grabbing onto some railings, those shots as she stretches up to do something technical (I'm sorry, again I haven't seen this in a while and as for what thew technical task was that she was doing- I couldn't give a damn). All in all another wank-tastic episode and one which I'm sure we'd all like to see recovered from some happy wanker's private collection somewhere around the world. When I saw a publicity shot from THE 5 DRS I rejoiced- hooray, Zoe's back, and she's wearing a short skirt. I wanked to that. Pity her appearance in the story itself was such a disappointment. Oh well. And I've got through all that without mentioning her hair-cut. Oh yes, that's been a big influence on me too. Because Zoe's such a well-rounded wank-fantasy it seems every single aspect of her is in some way positively charged. I guess the only negative aspect to her contribution to our wanking pleasures is that there's not another twenty or thirty or even a hundred stories to give us pleasure. Imagine if there'd been a spin-off series after THE WAR GAMES- 'The Incredible Adventures of Zoe Herriot'. I can sense guys all over the world reaching into their trousers now at the very suggestion. Each week she'd have faced increasingy ridiculous robots and monsters while her costumes became increasingly skimpy and impractical. Maybe when I've finished posting this series I'll devote some time to developing this hypothetical series further... As a final note for now (though I'm sure it won't be the final note on this posting) I wonder whether other SADWANKERS have seen the girl on Emmerdale who I feel looks very much like Zoe did? Sorry, I haven't a clue who she is, but she is a regular and I think she plays a kind of tarty teenager/young adult. She often wears short skirts. I don't watch it but I have seen her from time to time. She's not Zoe, but she reminds me of her. I think I may even have taped a bit of an episode with her in once and wanked to her. I'm not sure.
