I remembered Jo from my early childhood, but she first made a real impression on me during (surprise, surprise) the 5 Faces... repeats season. Her costume in 3 DRS is pretty satisfactory, though by no means her greatest- that accolade is shared by AXOS and DAY OF DALEKS. But there is of course that wank-tastic moment when she clambers over Bessie to escape a dodgy CSO-monster. I mean this is the kind of thing VCR freeze-frame buttons were designed for surely? Are you trying to tell me ANYONE uses that facility on their video for any other reason that a good five-fingered waltz? I couldn't really believe it when I saw it. I'd always thought Jo looked gorgeous in stills stc, and the idea of her flashing her bottom unintentionally, well... Which brings me onto another example of Jo related wanking which is linked to the above. The PELADON story repeated a few years later. Now throughout the story Jo wears a decidedly disappointing long skirt. But all SADWANKERS Will be familiar with the moment she climbs down a wall and the thing rides right up to reveal a very nice flash of leg flesh. What is it about girls unintentionallt showing their legs? You can see a girl in a short skirt and you'll get turned on, but a girl in a long skirt which accidentally rides or is blown up and we're talking almost spontaneous ejaculation. Or maybe it's just me... but whatever, from that day to this I've always been gladdened by the unexpected sight of leg more than the intentional. Then of course also as part of the 5 Faces was CARNIVAL OF MONSTERS. Again Jo is extremely sexy in skintight jeans and that gorgeous glimpse of black tight covered knee-cap. I don't recall ever indulging in the full-on wank to this story, but it's certainly acceptable as a hors d'oeuvre for other moments. But the linking factor for CARNIVAL and 3 DRS is of course Jo's boots. Now I don't pretend to be an expert on such matters and I bow to the superior expertise of other SADWANKERS here. All I will say is that knee-length boots are HOT! I was walking past a shoe-shop over the weekend and there was a window-display of boots. It turned me on just looking at them... Boots are a fundamental feature of many of Jo's finest moments, none less so than the fans' favourite, DAY OF THE DALEKS. Along with the red pants and all those great camera angles, Jo sitting, Jo climbing ladders, etc, this story has a higher than average wank ratio I'm certain. I first got my hands on (sic) this story when it was released on video in the mid-late 80s. By then I think my sexual tastes were pretty well defined. I enjoyed wanking to it regularly though. But no discussion of Jo could be complete without mention of the nudie pictures. Today they have been reproduced widely, on the net, in magazines and even in books. But who'd have thought back in the early 80s that one day you could go into WHSmiths and get your hands on these images... At the time they were the stuff of legends... Few had seen them, even fewer had copies of them, but plenty of us were wanking to them as we formed images in our twisted minds of what they MIGHT look like. And then at last one glorious day those kind-hearted souls at Skaro fanzine decided to compile a supplement investigating the sexual imagery in DW. And on the cover was to be one of the famous nudie pics. Well, you had to be over 18 to send for this, and I don't think I was but that didn't matter... I sent off and a short while later the envelope arrived and I dashed upstairs to my bedroom to investigate. I couldn't believe it when I saw it- there was Jo's right tit!!!! This girl was a companion on DW and there she was- nude! Naked! And in my grubby little hand!!!! The booklet immediately replaced the Nyssa postcard as my principal wank resource when the video was unavailable. And not only was a solitary tit on display, but also a slender waist, the impressive outline of a bottom and a gorgeous thigh. And she was wearing boots!!! Now that I think of it Jo did a lot to defining my tastes at the time. But I can't recall the last time I enjoyed a five-finger waltz in her company. Oh yes I do, it was when TV Zone reprinted a full-page pic of her from the nudie collection. She has a hand over her breasts and a dalek sucker covering her pubes. But by the time that pic was printed my tastes had developed further and I was also fascinated by the area around a girl's hips, as they widen out from the waist. The compacter the waist and the wider the hips the better. This pic has since reappeared in the Companions book (surely the SADWANKERS bedside companion), but is sadly more blurry than the TV Zone print. The Skaro pic (or at least one very like it if it's not the same one) has appeared in colour (Skaro's was B+W) in Timeframe and you can see the line of her removed panties if you look closely. I'd like to know the full story behind these pics if anyone knows it. I've heard she posed for the most 'tasteful' ones i.e. the less revealing ones, but the ones that show off her pubic hair (through see-through panties) were misappropriated by another magazine and printed against her wishes. Is this true? Oh, and of course once I got hold of CLAWS OF AXOS I found this more than satisfactory material for purposes of relaxation. But nothing very recently oddly enough. Maybe I'll re-watch 3 DRS soon. I haven't seen that clip in a while and I'd like to see if it still has the same effect on me...
